When you think of Rijnsburg, you think of flowers! Every year, millions of flowers make their way across the world from the Floraholland flower auction.
Rijnsburg itself is also worthy of a visit. The roads around Rijnsburg travel along meadows, bulb fields and greenhouses, stunning villas and pretty gardens. The centre of Rijnsburg is traditionally Dutch, with an old canal, a museum and an attractive shopping centre.
The exquisite nature also makes Rijnsburg a popular place to visit. In spring, you can enjoy millions of flowering bulbs in Keukenhof. The beach and dunes, great for walking and cycling, are a few minutes away by car. There is a range of seaside resorts in the vicinity. Lively Scheveningen and its Kurhaus are close by. If you prefer a slower pace, the beach of Noordwijk is ideal, while Katwijk provides a good alternative for families.
No beach weather? Then there is plenty to see and do in one of the surrounding cities such as Leiden, The Hague, Haarlem, Rotterdam or Amsterdam! You can read more about these cities on our page about the large cities.
